We were up at 6.15am and off to Edinburgh to catch the 10.25am flight to Nice today. Met up with the Patricks, the Joneses and the Allisons for the ride. Stopped by the MAC counter and splurged on lovely lippy on the way to the gate. Flight went incredibly well and found that you don't actually have to have a computer around when you're sitting next to Peter Jones because he really does know everything. Was able to get a few (6 or 7?) glasses of champagne in before landing and was met in Nice by a lovely french man who drove us to our hotel.
Had a fantastic lunch and after 1 month of being on food bootcamp, I was dying to dig into my beautiful pizza. After a stroll along the Promenade des Anglais, took a wee rest and then headed out again for yet more fabulous food. Am tired and ready for bed and will try to make it out for a run tomorrow morning!
Can't wait for the arrival of more friends tomorrow and things will surely kick off then!
